New Forums
The new forums have mostly taken their final shape now, so I would like to announce their official opening. In a few days, the frontpage links on both Earth and Utopia will be switched to the new forums. The old forums will remain online for the next few weeks, so that you have time to copy any material still wanted to the new boards. We won’t be reading the old forums any more, so I would ask that any bugs and suggestions especially, be posted in the jolt forums from now on.
We have taken a number of your suggestions into account over the past few weeks. Avatars, images, and signatures can be disabled on an individual level, we have added a quick reply feature, and adapted to some of your structural requests in order to resemble the old forums more closely. Requests and input may be still be considered, to the extent they’re realistic to implement.
Forum downtime remains an issue at the moment, which we’re still working on resolving. The downtime currently occurs at 07:30 GMT for between 40 - 60 minutes, and is a consequence of the database backup. The backup is to ensure that archive date is not lost if the database goes down, or becomes corrupted.

Is it possible to bring the current accounts over to the new forums with the same login/password?
Or you will definately have lots of people stealing other peoples old account names

Don’t know if this is the right spot but i don’t like front page of Utopia (http://games.swirve.com/utopia/index.php). It is way too yellow and not fitting the design style of game itself. Colors closer to this blog would be much better.

You guys don’t have backupexec? It will backup the vast majority of databases without having to bring them down. If you are working off of a SQL backend you pretty much have to take it down to backup with a third party tool like that ^^

The server at uboards.swirve.com is taking too long to respond.
this is the ingame boards for WoL, hasnt happened to me in Gen yet… but i mean every so often i get this page… and no its not a firewall or proxy or what not…
like the new page, and LOVE the throne page update keep em comin!

I have to admit though the new front page is sex.
However these new forums (external) are far too dark frankly making it alot harder to read on my old computer.

The ingame forums in wol don’t work.Every day at least two or three times a day we cannot access them.It is getting ridiculous. Do something about it.

brown sucks for the opening page and you need more fantastical picrues to accent the site…check out the compettion. This forum is dark and depressing.

You are taking survery for Utopia players and are asking everyone to fill it in…..I tried but it says I made a mistake and won’t let me close dout. Don’t knpow whats wrong but I tried.

No offense but the utopia frontpage looks very amateurish, not at all intriguing or stylish and very little graphically oiriented..
Regarding the colours of this forum, it fucking hurts my eyes :(
And about changing the forums, I think it will be a good idea, everything to bring more people into the game..

It is getting better. I am able to create new accounts and delete them. Still unable to return to old kingdom.
