Transfer Information & Update
The game is up now, and has been reset - in-game activation emails will be sent out tomorrow. In light of the delays, freeze time is to be extended for another 24 hours.
The changes posted on the forums have not been put live in-game yet - I wanted to minimise possible complications for the switch - so some of the numbers you’ll see are incorrect at the moment - however, these will all be corrected before protection starts. The new guide is floating around, but it hasn’t been finalised yet, so not all information there is accurate - please see my post for the correct numbers - and note, elves don’t have fog!
Also of note, any provinces currently in the game will not be deleted - the game was reset previously, but won’t need to be reset again.
New Login Process
When you login now, you must first create and login to a master account. Once that is created you then migrate your old province (previously referred to as your account) to your new master account. After this, your province is then accessed via the master account. If you are creating a new province, you must also create a master account, and once logged into that, you create from there.
Step by Step
1) Go to Main page
2) Click Account login
3) Click Sign up (top right corner) and fill in all Fields
- Note that the e-mail address used for your master account will also be automatically used for your province, if a different e-mail address was used for your province previously.
4) Activate via the email sent to you
5a) To create a new province (i.e. not transferring), click Add game account
5b) To trade into a kingdom, click Trade-in
5c) To transfer a province from last round, click Migrate
6) Once you’ve acquired a province by either of the above options, click “Login main account”

When I create and try to migrate I get error message: “Failed to load previous data!”. I never got stay in KD option since I joined late in the age. I am trying to trade into my old kingdom but am not sure how this works. It looks like I need a code and also the username of the person who I will be swapping with? I thought there was just a plain option to trade into kingdom while bringing your account in?
If I select “activate new account” will my ability to trade in go away?

its need to be told upfront that ppl need to create a new account first! also possible in the error message, when ppl login with their old accounts.
Swirve or OMAC, you will lose some percentage of players, if you dont make this critical information more evident. i bloody love this game, but this is a pretty rough restart. and some ppl won’t get it and quit.

The info is a big mess.
Here is what I did:
Logged with old name&pw - didnt work, ofc.
Then I created a Master acc and logged - didnt work.
Its just telling me that it cant login me with that user name. So is this supposed to even work yet?

guys just give them some time to get things going. i am in my kingdom just fine. all i did was make a new account with different password cuz my password i had was only 4 letters and u need 6 min.
then i got a email sent to my email from the game. i click the link and it said i was activated. then i relog on game with my new username and pass. u have to use ur email u always used to get in ur old account.
then u migrate ur account. when its migrated u click join master wol account or something like that. and that was it for me i am in and fine now. half my kd if active now in the kd. i am sure if u cant get in the game before it starts to get in ur old kingdom the game will get u in just get ur monarch to write the game and he will get u in.

i think u can change ur username and password when u remake ur account just u have to keep ur email u used. i had to change my password to 6 characters min.

yes ur activate msg mite go in ur juke folder in ur email make sure u turn down ur spam filters on ur email so u can get the activation link.

try to put in the same username but a diff password? that is what i did cuz my old password was 4 characters and it said i needed 6 characters in it..
when i did that the new account set up it sent me a email. i kept that screen up and went in the email. then i clicked the link and it went to a screen that said the migrate stuff on it.
then i had to reput in my new username and password in the game.

what u have to do is just make a new account and fill in all the info but u have to keep ur old email u used last age. i kept my username but diff password.
i entered it in and it sent me the activation code email. make sure u wrote in ur email right. its bad font where u write it in the making the account thingy. highlight it with mouse to make sure u spelled it right. that could be the problem alot of u are having the email was messed up cuz the font

Seriously, you need to post these instructions at the front of the page. I had no idea what I was supposed to do until I emailed one of my old KD mates. I only hope that the rest of my KD mates will be able to figure this out as well.

ok managed to get to migrate but it told me my password was wrong but its 100% not. It is numbers and letters could this be the reason and i have used the same id and password this age as last help this is really getting to me.

all my friends are getting on the game that live in canada and usa fine but the ones who dont live in canada or usa are having probs. that is what i am noticing anyways from my end.
i personally didnt have any problems loging on the game.

-Why not send all users an Email explaining what to do? This manual is not too hard to follow, but it took me days to find it because I didn’t expect I had to read all the news. BTW the first two newsitems on the main page are not clickable, they don’t contain links, so you expect the rest doesn’t either.
-Why are the fields in the sign up form blackened out? Why not white like in this form?
-As a webdesigner I have to say the usability is very bad. These are beginners mistakes.

Ok I logged in my acc everything was ok….now when I log in it wants an activation code(like it was @ the start of previous ages)..and there is no such thing in my mail…I have 2 letters from swirve…One saying I’ve activated my account..and I don’t want to hit the resend button cause in previous ages it sent u to a different KD….So WTF ppl….

Stop complaining about 5/4 golems, 5/5 golems were blatantly abused last age.
For those complaining that the changes aren’t up read carefully. The race changest WILL be implemented before the freeze is over.
OMAC you left the activation step in the game and you never even sent out any activation codes. Great job, now no one can play the game.
… and thanks to the freeze extension I can’t login almost the whole of the 3rd day in prot.

My entire kingdom have created a master account AND transfered our wol accounts into it, but we dont get an activation code and your resend code button does not work.. Immensly annoying!
Still looking forward to OMAC in charge, but this start is very very doubtfull.

no stay with kd option this age(i dont like the idea, but seems best)

Hmm.. I’m having the problem that when i try to migrate it says “Wrong Password” I have tried like 13 times to migrate but it says I can’t. WTF is that?
I wanna play with my old KD, but i can’t migrate, and I am 100% sure my password is correct, so it’s not that. Something has gone terribly wrong…

I didn’t understand everything either at first, but actually it is not so bad after all. Just follow the steps…
Once you’ve gotten through the whole process without trouble, and you reach the page for “activation code”, don’t do anything.
After re-reading the first post:

for those who are afraid if they clicked resend code they will be moved to another kd…the answer is, no. if you already have that account in a kd previous age, you can hit resend as many time as you want, you will be in the same kd…
the moving of the prov if you click resend is, as far as I know, valid only for the new created provs…
As for the activation code…a total waste of time…we needed this freeze time to set the last things up and now we are just waiting and waiting…

Despite all the blissful and serene (sanctimonious) people out there providing helpful information, there is no getting away from the fact that this launch has been poorly managed.
The instructions are difficult to find but even when you follow them, the return is not what you expect. So please ‘helpful’ people, I am delighted that you found the instructions easily and logged on effortlessly, but I like thousands of others did not have a happy experience. I shudder to think how anyone who does not have English as a first language is coping.
I pressed re-send like so many others have done. If I am not in the same kingdom as my mates, I will not play anymore. Still, after six years, I have been looking for a reason to kick the habit. Seems like OMAC are providing one.

I dont beleive how compicated this has been made. I now have 2 seperate email accounts I used to try to create an account that got messed up but I could seem to delete the account and now are locked out from use. SO now my swirve stuff goes to my spam email account. Ididnt realize the account verifications werent sent and didnt realize it moved my pronve so now I probably got moved from where I wanted to be. I finally came back to play his game after a few years of inactivity and run into all this, and now 2 friends i convinced to play have already said screw it and gave up.

People should not give up at the first hurdle. There are some massive changes with a high risk of technical errors occuring during the transfer. Nevertheless, it would have been miles better if it was made more clear with a direct flashing link on the home page. The game will not lose the die-hards so quick, but newbies that are just getting into it could decide to move elsewhere.
They should have ran a mirror site first to get those errors out I suppose, or at least something towards this. Shame but if you love the game, do not give up too easy, I am sure they will get it sorted soon.

This is ridiculous, I did all that stupid junk with the new account,I login,get my province migrated,and then you guys screw up something easy YET AGAIN. Ive been waiting for my activation code for an HOUR and 20 minutes. Even after it says it will be sent in the next 3 minutes which was a lie.
Thanks for taking up all my preparation time with my kingdom(i am the king) then not letting people now when you would introduce the new login system,so now Ive lost all of the Contact info,rules,and tons of other information that was in our forums. So now,again,ive got to rewrite Hours worth of information,and important things.

I had to use my old log in info, including the password I orginally set the account up with. After that it allows you to change the log in and pw.
BUT.. half way through the last age I changed my pw to something alittle shorter. it would not except it. I had to use the orginal pw.
try that, then you can change it to whatever you used to sign up.

Resending the activation code DID move your province to another kingdom back in Mehul’s time. Not much sence in that though, so perhaps OMAC can change it. Or at least make an exception for this age.

1) READ THE DAMN INFO BEFORE TRYING TO LOGIN.
Since you’re retarded, please read it twice and try to understad the simple english words there. Simpler than that it can’t be.
2) YOU MUST CREATE YOUR MASTER ACCOUNT, YOU MORON.
If you have no idea what the hell is a master account, google it, learn about it, then come back you loser… to create it.
3) YOU IDIOT, NOW YOU MUST CREATE YOUR PROVINCE
Pffff… now, you iliterate donkey…just fill the prov name and ruler name… and the rest of the info.
4) NOW WAIT 12 HOURS AS YOU ALLWAYS WAITED UNTIL THE CODES WERE SENT.
The only diference is that under Mehul you could login even before activating. If you are braindead and forgot about the 12 hours, your problem, but don’t come whining here.

I have follwed each of the steps as they are listed above. Created a Master Account - it told me a mail had been sent. I HAVE rcvd this mail WITH com=nfirmation of my Username password and Activation code.
Yet when I now try to sign in it says I cant with this username I have tried and tried and no joy - there is no typo in there - I have even copied and pasted etc. I have even gone through reset password etc - got the email but still cant login…
I am trying to connect from UK… This is infuriating… If this messes up the KD I am with I no longer intend to play - we were building together a good KD and it has taken ages… What was wrong with continuing with the old set up and gradually changing things instead of this complete make-over?

The activation e-mail arrived 5 hours after I signed on. I did clicked resend but, since I migrated I wasn’t bumped to another kingdom.

Look for all those with problems: OMAC is new to this business, so think of this as a beta age for them. There is going to be lots of bugs and mistakes initially, until they work them all out. It’s not like you learned how to write in one day, ok. You have to make a master account, even if you already had a login account back before. Then you need to migrate using your orignal login and password, finally you will have to wait up to 12 hours to receive your acitvation code, until which you may not be able to log in. Yes, there is no update to the guide, or changes yet. I’m sure they are still working on it. Expect plenty of delays for the next couple of weeks. They are going to have bugs-a-plenty because they are new to this.

I understand giving them time… They had a lot of work on their plates and switching over servers isn’t easy. However, I think people would be more understanding of the delays and whatnot if things were more upfront.
You need a week to start up the game? Fine - Say so. If I had known it would take about a week, I would prepare for that.
But when you say you’re going to deliver something at a specific time, and then continue to push it back, say 2 hours when you mean 2 days, and make changes without telling us, it gets frustrating.
People are only disappointed when they expect something because they are told that was what would happen and it doesn’t.
Be more honest and clear about what is going to happen and how long it is going to take next time. Simple as that.

I have been able to get activated and logged into my province. However, I’m not quite sure if I was migrated into my old kingdom. There were about 15 of us staying from last age and so far only myself and one guy who just signed up is in my kingdom. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one from my kingdom who has created their new account and logged in.

the game is up and its very easy to sign in. the problem people are having is that they are posting the wrong email make sure u wrote it right so u can get the link to activate ur account.
the font is messed on the account creating thingy.
make sure u wrote ur email right.
and all of u should have a full kingdom list of emails to write eachother to make sure u get in ur account good.
i am currently writing with riosin. i am gonna get him to keep it open to log on ur kingdom account even after age starts. the only problem is if ppl make a account and take ur spot then u cant get in without tradeing.
and the trading thing will only work when the age starts so no codes will work for tradeing til age starts. just get in the game then we can work on the tradings.

FYI, if your old account (the one you migrated) had a different email account than your master account, that is where the email activation was sent (despite it telling you to check the email linked to the master account).

The problems I had were sorted - have since rcv another email and all now fine - I hit the resend and it does NOT move you to a new KD… I’m happily with my KD from last age - and many others are already there too..

as for those who haven’t get the activation code and have not click on resend activation code… try click it once…. and it will send to ur email based on email info on top of the resend button.
As for those who haven’t sign up and don’t know wat to do… just follow these steps: (for those from previous age)
1. got to this website http://utopia.swirve.com/accounts/signup to sign up a new account (best use back the same email from last age)
2. then check for email for the activating the master account.
3. Then login using the info u have register from step 1
4. click migrate
5. key in the login details of the account u use from last age
6. click on main login to access to the game.
and u’re done… for the activation code… read the top of my msg

For those out there waiting on their activation codes: Last night I clicked “Resend” several times and am still in my own KD. I also finally got my activation code…so it looks like the process is working. Unfortunately, there were problems with the migrating process, so half of my KD still hasn’t shown up. Also, be sure to check your Junk mailbox if you still havent received the activation code for your province.

Cannot register at all.
The screen wont allow typing, and then gives an error message for uncompleted fields. Perhaps the server is swamped theis monday morning with 2 million players trying to register?

This new account making is not working…i lost my province. It says something like “You have entered an incorrect username/email combination.” but its the correct combination. They made me make another account with another user name and same email, after that they send me an email saying i can continue with the same username…..very very confusing.

OK (1) web 2 or whatever with the damn blue lines that can’t be seen make it very very hard to try to fill in any of your blanks
(2) I setup account got activation code did all the rest- not returning to my kingdom just trying to get a new random kingdom- when I go to access my province I am told I have no monarch authorization (3) You absolutely can’t make it this hard and/or convoluted to just sign up for your game if you expect anyone to stay- I have been with utopia since you needed boats but I am within a hair of blowing it off completely as the result of this inane process and all the multiple errors.

Ok guys what i did was sign up again.
I changed my log in info and password and i used my hot mail for my email instead of the other one.
I got the email right away and i clicked on the link and it took me in and i used the activation code i was sent the other to my other email.
It worked and im now back in my kingdom from last round.

Hopefully, they’ll next tackle the oh-so-difficult problem of allowing freaking SPACES in your ruler’s name and province’s name. Seriously, what the hell, OMAC? Would it really have taken THAT much effort to add in that one extra character to the list of allowable characters? That really pisses me off, especially since I like to do a little bit of roleplay with my rulers. I was planning on running a kingdom this age, but I may just have to wait on that. What a huge disappointment. I really hope such changes aren’t in store for Earth next. If Earth suffers as badly as this game, I may have to eschew swirve games completely…

i have been playing for 3 years now and i cant play because i cant get logged in!!! i got the activation code but cant do anything with it??????… tried for last week, sometimes 2-3 times a day.

I can’t move into a KD because there is 25 prov but 7 of those provs are unclaimed…. when do the unclaimed provs disappear?

I played this game a couple years back, decided to get back into it, and it seems theres *tons* of problems this age. And this is the message I’ve been getting for the past couple days when I try to create a new account. Is there some kind of “player cap” that I overlooked? I doubt it, if anyone has some hints of sneaking my way into a kingdom slot, please let me know.

Is the game started or not? It continues to say I cannot enter the game at this time. The dates listed and what actually transpires is killing me. What gives?!!! This is driving me nuts!!!!!

I noticed the (new??) guide still says +25% BE for Dwarves, while the list of initial changes that you posted said +30% ???
(I assume ppl made choiuces based on that list so I hope it’s an error, and not an after game start change of the earlier announced changes ?)

I also seem to recall that the proposed fog for elves was ditches after complaints from the initial change list, it’s indeed not on that list anymore, yet the guide still sayd they have it.
